Powerpath is a truly collaborative project, with project lead, Mohammad Ashadul Hoquel from Technovative Solutions working in tandem with the technology lead, Nicolas Saincy from Nanoé, to produce nanogrid interconnection module specifications and schematics, to monitor reports on metering module elaboration and testing, and to elaborate battery state-of-charge estimation algorithm testing. Deliverables from this work include business model reports, a microgrid training curriculum and impact assessment reports.
Elsewhere, academic expert, Dr Shiladitya Paul from the Material Innovation Centre (MatIC), a long-term strategic partnership between TWI and the University of Leicester, is working on solar coatings to maximise efficiency with TWI's technical team of Dr Linghao Zhou, Dr Mark Sutcliffe and Dr Georgios Liaptsis. Their deliverables include reports on the development of coating formulation and fabrication process, the evaluation of coatings performance, and a technology transfer document.
The Dissemination and Exploitation team, led by TWI’s Jacinthe Nourrit, works on issuing communications content for global outreach while John Kennedy from The Power Hub Ltd works to leverage its established UK networks of stakeholders. The deliverables here include a communications plan, regular reports to the Innovate UK officer, an IP exploitation strategy and a risk register. The Power Hub also works in supporting the impact analysis from a techno-economic point of view to ensure scaling potential for the nano-grid solution.
