PowerPath’s Commercial Risks

Tue, 17 March, 2026

Powerpath bears a number of commercial risks; namely the fact that the product would not meet customer expectations due to a weak proof of concept and application. This would result in potential customers not trusting the solution and deciding not to buy it. A potential mitigation from this risk is to focus on an effective communication strategy and a solid dissemination and exploitation plan, ensuring the interaction with the community for all the strategies in the project to gain their feedback.

Another commercial risk is competition copying the service following the leak of detailed technical data to competitors, triggering a loss of business growth and return on investment. Mitigation can be achieved via confidentiality agreements put in place and continued protection of existing IP, as well as legal advice being sought out.

Graphical User Interface (GUI) not being sufficiently user-friendly constitutes another commercial risk, caused by GUI incompatibility with end-user requirements. This would prevent customers from using and analysing the data. End-user requirements are being considered to design the GUI and ensure its adaptability to an end-user management system as a mitigation.
