PowerPath’s Managerial Risks

Wed, 01 April, 2026

The PowerPath project involves numerous managerial risks, such as the possible failure to achieve deliverables within budget and timelines. This can be caused by poor communication and challenges in technical development, which could result in project delays and failure to achieve all key deliverables. The use of key management tools to minimise that risk and promote successful delivery, as well as close risk monitoring, will be employed as mitigation.

Additionally, women’s safety and security is a managerial risk caused by the disruption of existing power dynamics or tensions within households or communities, which could trigger discrimination and resistance to the implementation of the project. That would be mitigated by regular monitoring and evaluation to help identify and address any unintended negative consequences.

Another managerial risk could be problems integrating demonstrators into living communities while maintaining output without delays, being caused by failures in logistics and preparation for site deployment causing project delivery delays. To mitigate this risk, both sites and demonstrators are planned in advance, with planning for fast connection during scheduled outages.
